Volterrateatro06 workshops - program

As every year, VolterraTeatro dedicates big efforts to Workshops. They are an important moment of reflection, exchange and comparison. Between guest companies and public. Among the audience. Among the artists.
The idea, which links the eleven workshops of this XX edition of the VolterraTeatro Festival, is the hidden research.
An articulate path to rediscover all that time, will and life have buried, to restart from the man.

It starts from the mind (investigating the intimate nature of Kafka's work, in search of the evident mystery of life - Teatro delle Ariette), all that threatens it (the Violence that threatens and outrages the man, to whom remains only a possibility: to hide himself in a rude meekness - Compagnia Rodisio), and the mystery that hides it (for me it is important to discover our personality, our tradition, relative to our life experience - Babbaluck).

It gets through the body (to let emerge the body, unmasking the ego and its ridiculous expression - Tardito/Rendina) and its interaction with the space (an awareness of the movement in relation with the space... an awareness that gives deep freedom - Palminiello/Blanco).

Finally it arrives to the word (which is read, to free it of middle-man - Rodrigo García). The analysis of the mask, the first instrument to hide oneself, in theatre as in life (the mask and all its manifold levels of meaning - Gianni Gronchi). Workshops also examine the historical memory of the man, to remember all that is left behind, but it can not be forgotten (the historical travel in the places of the Second World War and Partisan Resistance - Teatri della Resistenza). The path of the workshops gets through with the memory of the Festival, looking into the past and dealing also with the history of the Compagnia della Fortezza (getting in the places where there are stage setting materials, used in past editions of the Festival - Arianna Fumagalli).
(All that re-emerges, all that remains, we must learn to share it with other people - Isole Comprese Teatro), since the adolescence (Caterina Poggesi).
